Belize is a country of many contrasts and is located in the north eastern corner of Central America. It is one of the smallest countries in the region and is the only one that has English as a native language. It is well known as a peaceful, stable country with amazing beaches, great scuba diving and vast rain forests which covers 72% of its land mass. The worlds second largest barrier reef lies off its coast and supports many marine and coastal ecosystems.
English is the official language of Belize and is used in government and education. A dialect of English known as Belizean Creole is widely spoken throughout the country. Other languages spoken include Carib, Mayan, and Spanish.
Belize is a wonderful country is visit year round, and has many international connections. The best things that we love to do in Belize is cave tubing, hike, visit the Cockscomb Jaguar Reserve and of course, scuba diving.
The paintings that are indigenous to Belize reflect the various cultures and ethnic backgrounds of the people and various geographies found within the country, with a wide variety of the locals concentrating on the marine life.
