The land of Smiles is the first thing you see at the airport or pretty much any official border crossing, and they are not too far from the truth. Thailand is a very special country filled with culture, talent and unique experiences. It is unique in its geography and people, with some of the best food found anywhere in the world.

Thailand consists of several distinct geographical areas. To the south, you have the Greater Malay Peninsula, which consists of a long stretch of land following a long stretch of the Myanmar border to the northern most Malaysian border crossing. This area consists of beautiful beaches, rolling hills and picturesque islands on both sides of the mainland. Thailand’s central plains region consists of what many would consider the rice bowl of Asia, and here you find the plateau region filled with rice paddies and various other agricultural operations. The northern part of Thailand is mountainous, with cities such as Chaing Mai and Chaing Rai containing most of the population of the north. Here you can find several of Thailand’s minority hill tribe peoples such as the Karen and Hmong families.

The Thai people are considered some of the most talented of all Southeast Asian nations, and the paintings, handicrafts and furniture found here prove this point every day.
